Fraud Alert!

We have been notified that an MEFCU member has been targeted by a fraudulent text messaging scam.  The message stated "Your FCU debit card has been deactivated. Please call (718) 307-9795 to reactivate your card.” If you or anyone you know receives a message of this sort, do not respond to it. The message is a fraudulent attempt to get you to disclose personal, private information. The Federal Trade Commission has been contacted about these incidents and has advised that anyone who received this text message to call the FTC at 1-877-382-4357.

Mississippi Employees Federal Credit Union will never ask you to disclose any personal, private information about yourself via text message, e-mail, or any similar unsecure means.  If you ever receive a message of this sort, you are welcome to call any office of Mississippi Employees Federal Credit Union to report the message and to verify its authenticity.
